Jeff - Sorry to hear of the passing of your parents. What a love story they seem to have had - to the very end. I hope you and your family can be at peace knowing they are in a wonderful place together for an eternity. For years I have drove by their home and even though I really didn't know them on a personal level, I couldn't help but always admire their place. Seems I always caught your dad out on the mower, working away. Your mom's smile always shined bright. How proud you must be of them and their life together. Take care. Love Darci & Jeff Hering & family.
I remember coaching youth baseball and meeting Shirley and Larry. They were always positive and caring. They were the nicest people . Over the years I would run into them in a restaurant or Fred Myers. Always had positive vibes from these two. I am sending my prayers and thoughts. Very nice people. Will miss seeing them.

Rest in peace my dear friends. One of my fondest memories was going with Shirley (Kallberg) to Pacific Lutheran University for a Luther League convention (teenager association). Shirley was a member of Bethany Lutheran in Warren while I was at First Lutheran in St. Helens. When Shirley was airport manager for the Port and I worked at Boise, we had many conversations regarding county commerce. Shirley and Larry were role models for all of us... kind, caring and God-fearing.
