Adelaide M. White's Obituary
Adelaide M. White was born on May 19, 1921 in Lake Preston, S.D. to Emil & Olga Brendon Hegglund.
She died at a Portland care facility on October 5, 2005 at the age of 84.
She attended schools South Dakota and graduated in 1939. She was in the band that went to state finals. She went on to attend nursing school in Seattle, WA.
She married Albert Gluth in '42, they later divorced, he preceded her in death in 1995. In 1950 she married Talbert White, he also preceded her in death in '73.
She worked for 15 years as a secretary for Peter Pan Seafoods in Port Angeles, WA.; She went on to own West Side Grocery in Port Angeles until she retired in '73.
She has lived in Scappoose for the past 2 years.
She was of the Lutheran denomination and a volunteer for the Red Cross in Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles. Her enjoyments included crafts, socializing with friends and family and she loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include: Children: Barbara White Hickman of Scappoose, OR.; Robert White of Camino Island, WA.; Dennis Gluth of Port Angeles, WA.; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Hickman, Troy, Brandon, Stephany and Justin White, Sheri & Kally Gluth. 5 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband: Talbert in '73; 3 sons: Donald Gluth-'74, David Gluth-'83, Steven White-'03, sister: Jeanette Hook-'02
