Afton J. Baughman's Obituary
Afton J. Baughman was born on August 3, 1924 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Arthur & Rose Tolliver Odom.
She died at a St. Helens care center on August 25, 2009 at the age of 85.
Afton moved to Bakersfield, CA. where she was educated, then moved to NW Portland in 1945 and Columbia Co. are 52 years ago.
She married Robert G. Baughman in Stevenson, WA. in 1948, he preceded her in death in 1989.
Afton worked a number of jobs but her last was a cook at the Rainbow Lodge where she retired in the late 1950's.
Her life was her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include: Children: Debbie Bechton & Kenny Mather both of Warren; Robert Baughman of Garibaldi, Phillip Baughman of Scappoose; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by a son Mike Baughman in 1968.
