Albert Eugene Teasley's Obituary
Albert Eugene Teasley came into this world on February 9, 1939 and was taken by the angels of the Lord to his heavenly home on February 9. 2025. He turned 86 on the day he entered heaven. He passed away at Forest Park Adult Care.
Albert is the son of Charter L. Teasley and his bride, Annie G. Swett. On January 18th, 1960, Albert was married to his bride of 65 years, Margaret Ann Tacker. Al and Margaret had no children of their own but helped raise two nieces, Marnae Lowe and Mariana Lowe-Cato. They have a Godson, T. Sgt. James V. Mott, US Air Force retired and his wife Karen who live in Myrtle Beach SC. Al is the eldest of 6 children.
Al was a retired Air Force veteran. He served our country from June 1957 to June 1987; a total of 30 years. He achieved the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the military, E-9. Albert served as a Medic and spent three tours of duty in Viet Nam. During those tours, he served with helicopter pilots, rescued downed bomber pilots and saved the life of one of the pilots while risking his own life.
After his retirement, Al worked for the United States Marshall and later for the State of Oregon as a correctional officer. Al and Margret moved to Columbia City in March of 2004. Al was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church along with his wife Margaret.
Albert is preceded in death by his father Carter Teasley and his mother Annie who died in 2024 at the age of 104 and was cared for by Al’s youngest son Darrell for 10 years.
He is survived by his sister, Mildred Teasley Yatt from Dallas, TX, Linda Teasley Cato from Nashville, TN, his brother, Howard L. Teasley and his wife Cindy from Ellensburg, WA., and Shelia Teasley Holmes and his youngest brother, Darrell Teasley from California.
Also, his brother-in-law Delmar Tacker and his wife Karla from WA., and sister-in-law Theresa Tacker Lowe from Portland. He is also survived by Capt. Wes Barker who was considered like a brother and who served in different assignments together.
