Alice L. Adams was born in Hockinson, WA. on October 5, 1914 to Clarence & Elma Spencer Mitchell.
She died Janaury 4, 2004 at a St. Helens assisted living center at the age of 89.
She was educated and graduated from Rainier Hi In '33.
She was married on April 24, 1934 in Vancouver, WA. to Archie Adams, he preceded her in death in '76.
She lived in St. Helens and then Columbia City for 40 years.
She was a nurses aid for Columbia County hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, St. Helens Senior Center, Charter member of the Sweet Adelines.
Her interests included music, singing, elderly people, her flowers and plants.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Marianne Henningsen of St. Helens; Doris Thomas of Goble, OR.; 3 siblings: Glenn Mitchell of Healdsburg, CA., Doris Thayer of Lander, Wyoming; Heloise Ackson of Scappoose, OR.; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Wednesday, 9-12 Thurs.
Funeral Service: Thursday January 8, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home
Committal Service & Vault interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.
