Alta L. Carson's Obituary
Alta L. Carson
Born October 17th, 1915 in Fall City, Oregon. Died October 27th, 2010 at the Legacy Hospice House in Portland, OR.
She attended school in Eddyville, OR. and Dallas, OR. Alta graduated from Dallas H. S. in 1933.
Moved to Woodburn and worked as a usher at the movie house and married her classmate Gene Stoller after he finished college.
When they divorced she moved to Portland and then to Heppner were she worked at the Co. Court House.
She met Calvin Carson and was married in Hermiston, OR. in 1953. They lived in the Heppner area for a few years. They moved to Madras and then to
the Brookings and Coos Bay Area.
At retirement Cal and Alta traveled to AZ for the Winter doing odd jobs while there and then to the Yukon during the Summer.
In 1979 Cal started working the Summers as a security guard for two different logging companies near Roseburg. Where Alta was known to have coffee and pie
ready for the loggers visits.
After Cal's passing in 1989, Alta lived with her nephew Allan Aldrich in Scappoose, OR. and enjoyed going to AZ in the Winters.
In 2002 Alta took residence at Rose Valley Assisted Living and she had many wonderful pampered years there with the employees, who loved her sweet smile.
She was the last surviving of four daughters born to Samuel Dick and Lois Buell.
Aunt to several nieces and nephews and had many close friends and loved ones.
Alta would always remember their special occasions, sending them cards and letters. Sometimes calling them to sing Happy Birthday to them.
A Memorial Celebration is planned at Warren Baptist Church on Saturday , Nov. 20th, at 2:00p.m.
