Alvin W. King's Obituary
Alvin W. King was born on June 8, 1932 in Salina, Kansas to Charlie & Mable Scott King.
He died at a Portland hospice center on January 26, 2010 at the age of 77.
Alvin moved to Portland from Tyler, Texas at the age of 11 and attended Roosevelt High School. Moving to Warren, OR. from St. Johns area in 1972.
He was a boiler maker for Boiler Maker International from 1963 until retiring in 1993.
Alvin married Ivera Gettman in Vancouver, WA. on September 15, 1957.
He was a life member of Canton Masonic Lodge #45, was also a Master Mason who enjoyed drag racing, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include: Wife: Ivera Darlene King of Warren; Children: Kathleen Lee of Ilwaco, WA.; Frank King of Odessa, MO.; Mike King of Vancouver, WA.; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens
