Amos Zephere Moss' Obituary
Amos Z. Moss was born on August 22, 1920 in Polson, MT. to Phillip & Ida Nelson Moss.
He died at a St. Helens Care Center on February 26, 2005 at the age of 84.
He was educated and graduated from Polson Hi in 1938.
He was in the US Army from 1940 to 1946, in th 82nd Airborne, he was in D-Day Normandy and Holland. He received a purple heart.
He moved to St. Helens in 1946, met and married Phyllis on 1/18/47 at the St. Helens First United Methodist Church.
He worked at Boise Paper Mill as a rewinder for 30+ years, retiring in 1984.
Member of the Methodist Church, Amerian Rifleman, N.R.A., American Legion.
His enjoyments included: Hunting, fishing, gardening and his family.
Survivors include: Wife: Phyllis Moss of St. Helens; Children: Phillip Moss of Las Vegas, NV.; Joe Moss of Portland, OR.; Cindy Stansbury of St. Helens, OR.; April Johnson of Gulfport, Mississippi; Sister: Vi Burton of Ronan, MT.; 7 grandchildren.
Memorial service: Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Columbia Funeral Home
Private interment: Lakeview Cemetery-Polson, Montana
