Andrew J. Coleman, Jr.'s Obituary
Andrew J. Coleman, Jr. was born on March 7, 1923 in Stonewall, OK to Andrew J. Sr. & Mary J. Beach Coleman.
He died at a Portland hospital on February 9, 2006 at the age of 82.
He was educated Oklahoma and graduated in 1941. He went into the Army Air Corp during WWII and flew on 27 missions in a B-17 Bomber. He was discharged in 1945.
He married Sarah in Los Angeles, CA. on February 5, 1948.
He worked and retired for Garrett Corporation Airresearch Division, retiring in 1971. They also managed a Shilo Inn Motel for 10 years. His last occupation was a greeter for Walmart for 10 years in Yreka, CA.
They lived in Yreka for 15 years prior to moving to Scappoose 4 years ago.
He was a member of the DAV Disabled American Veterans, he also enjoyed gardening Tomatoes and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include: Wife: Sarah Coleman of Scappoose; Children: Debra Coleman of San Francisco, CA.; Daria Shattuck of Scappoose, and Darrel Coleman of Bend, OR.; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Sat. 3/4/06 from 2-4 at Columbia Tribute Center-St. Helens
