Anne Elizabeth (Hanneman) Frenz

Anne Elizabeth (Hanneman) Frenz, 88, of Scappoose, died peacefully at home on January 24, 2018.
She is survived by her daughters; Lisa and Annal Frenz, Myla Fiesterman, son-in-law William, grandchildren; Andrew and Zoe. She is predeceased by her husband, Alfred.
Anne was born October 11, 1929 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She earned her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she met her husband Al. They were married in 1952; when Al was drafted, Anne joined him in Germany. Upon their return, Anne worked as a stay-at-home mom.
In 1962 the family moved to Batavia, New York where Anne started a pre-school at her church. After moving to Portland, Oregon in 1972, Anne became an Avon representative and remained active in church life; at Mt. Carmel Lutheran she served on the church council and volunteered for many service projects. After she and Al moved to Scappoose, she served on the Land Use Planning Commission from 1995-2013.
In her last years, Anne suffered from a degenerative condition but remained intensely committed to her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Diane Gregg Memorial Pavilion at Lewis & Clark College; 0615 SW Palatine Hill Rd. Portland, Oregon 97219.
