Arlen “Ace” Deahl
January 16, 1937 - February 3, 2015
Arlen “Ace” Deahl of Scappoose, Oregon died February 3, 2015 at the age of 78. He was born January 16, 1937 in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Harold and Mabel (Miller) Deahl.
Arlen attended high school in Auburn, Washington graduating in 1956 from Auburn Adventist Academy. During his time he held many different jobs; he was very proud to say he worked at Fred Meyers directly under Mr. Fred Meyer, at one time he started up and owned Uptown Store for Men in St. Helens. He worked at Intel Campus in Hillsboro, Kaiser Gypsum, and he was also a member of the Carpenters Union. Arlen served in the US Army for 2 years and was stationed in Panama from 1959-1961.
On June 18, 1985 Arlen married the love of his life Jeanette Wallace, she later died in 1993. Arlen was a member of the Warren Grange and in his early years served on the Junior Chamber of Commerce. During the early 60's was also a member of Wanderers Racing Association. In his spare time he enjoyed salmon and steelhead fishing, wood working, yard work, and watching a good ballgame.
Arlen is survived by his brother Bob Deahl, nephews Bob Jr., Ben Deahl and his niece Elizabeth James. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette and a sister Devota.
A viewing will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 3-6pm at Columbia Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Columbia Funeral Home.
