Arlene Rae Ziegler's Obituary
Arlene Rae Ziegler of St. Helens went home to be with her Lord and Maker on April 2. She passed away at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital from complications following an eight year battle with cancer. She was 80.
Arlene was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Camas, Wash., to Minnie Morgan and Victor Ready.
She lived in Columbia City and graduated from St. Helens High School. After graduation she attended LIFE Bible College in California where she met her husband, Lewis. They spent 35 years as missionaries to southern Africa, returning to St. Helens in 1989.
She is survived by her husband and friend of 60 years, Lewis, sister; Peggy Baldwin, daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Michael Chiddick; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Dawn Ziegler; nine grandchildren; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who were touched by her loving and caring life
To be able to have called her family or friend truly gave you someone who would love you unconditionally. A champion for her grandchildren, she would attend as many of their events as possible.
A celebration of life was held on Good Friday, April 6, 2012 at Columbia River Foursquare Church where she faithfully served as a teacher, preacher, counselor, friend, and prayer warrior. Arlene will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The void she leaves cannot easily be filled; we pray that our lives will honor her memory, through loving and serving others
