Arturo Ivan Camarillo's Obituary
In loving memory of Arturo Ivan Camarillo, it is with a heavy heart that we announce his untimely passing. Arturo was born and raised in Southern California until 1997 when he embarked on a new chapter of his life in Oregon. He initially resided in the Willamette Valley before finding his forever home in Columbia County, where he formed a deep connection with the community.
Arturo’s passion for mechanics and his work ethic led him to Kellogg Bowl in Milwaukee Oregon, where he dedicated himself to learning the trade. He then discovered the restoration industry. With an interest in better serving his community, he joined Premier Restoration and Partners and quickly rose through the ranks there. Ultimately, he achieved the esteemed position of Project Manager. His colleagues and clients alike recognized his commitment and expertise. He truly cared for them all as if they were his second family.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Arturo was a pillar of strength and support in his recovery journey. Since May 15, 2017, he has been unwaveringly sober, becoming an inspiration and sponsor to others in need. He actively participated in various programs and frequently went by Pathways to check in with the program that did so much to assist him on the road to recovery. Arturo’s family held a special place in his heart. He met his fiancée Kathy in 2018, and they quickly became inseparable. Their love was truly special, and Art could not wait to marry her. Art took on being a father to Lila and Timmy, and he did it with an incredible amount of love and enthusiasm. They became the center of his world, and he was so proud to show them off at any opportunity. He eagerly anticipated the arrival of his beloved nephew, Cameron Michael Camarillo, and cherished the time he spent with his goddaughter, Brooklyn Green. As a member of a large, close-knit family, Arturo shared precious moments and created everlasting memories with his numerous cousins, tio’s, and tia’s. Despite his tough exterior, he possessed a kind and gentle soul. His inherent respect, love, and generosity permeated all aspects of his life. He strived to make a positive impact on the lives of others and constantly sought opportunities to give back and improve the world around him.
Everyone who loved Arturo will forever remember his desire to live a meaningful life and spread love to all those around him. Though he is gone, his presence will forever be felt by those fortunate enough to have known him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gabriela D. Camarillo, and father, Frank Castillo. His fiancé, Kathy Coddington; two children, Lila and Timothy Coddington; Brothers, Gabriel Camarillo and Louis (Michelle) Camarillo; and younger sister, Gaby Osuna Camarillo, survive him.
Arturo I. Camarillo will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
