Barbara Jane Blake's Obituary
Barbara Jane (Farah) Blake, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, at the age of 70.
Barbara was a longtime resident of St. Helens, Oregon. She was born January 12th, 1952, in Portland, Oregon to Mitchell and Lorabelle Farah. She was the second of three daughters.
Barbara grew up in Southwest Portland. She enjoyed summers playing with her sisters, friends, and visiting cousins in Prineville and Madras, Oregon.
She was a very creative person. In her younger years she loved to draw and paint. As she got older, she loved to work in her garden, go camping, and fishing. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and reading. Mostly she loved spending time with her children, and grandchildren. She was a fantastic cook and loved to entertain her friends and family.
Barbara is survived by her longtime partner Bill Kitchens; three children, Kelly Blake, Kari (Blake) Templin, and Paul Blake; grandchildren, Andrew Blake, Owen Templin, Robby Templin; and great-grandchildren, Leo & Sophia Blake; her sisters, Shirley Kelly, Sue Porter, and her mother Lorabelle Farah.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father Mitchell Farah.
