Barbara Helen Miller November 3, 1931 ~ February 9, 2018
Barbara Helen Miller, 86, Star of Hollywood’s “The Fighting Sullivan’s” passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 9, 2018 in Portland, Oregon.
Barbara was born November 03, 1931 in Vancouver, Washington to Giles and Oriole Greenwood. She was the youngest sister to Cecelia and Joan Greenwood. She attended Shumway School in Vancouver & graduated from Battleground High School in 1949.
She married Doyle Louis Miller in 1955 and lived in Portland where they raised their family of 6 children, Barbara Ann, Laura Jeanne, Dennis Alvin, Patrick Louis, Sandra Suzanne and Gerald Eugene. She was very actively involved in Blessed Sacrament Church and the PTA during her children’s school years.
Barbara worked at Academic Book Center for 15 years and was known for her smile and laugh. She was quick witted and was happy to help brighten anyone’s day with a joke.
Barbara had a larger than life personality and was loved by so many it would be impossible to mention them all. She touched so many lives in her 86 years and meant so much to so many
.
She was predeceased by her husband Doyle Louis Miller in January of 1993.
Memorial Services will be help at Willamette National Cemetery 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd in Portland on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
There will be a gathering for friends and family after the services being held at the Masonic Lodge 5811 SE 92nd Ave in Portland.
