Barbara Jean Robinson of Scappoose, Oregon died on December 29, 2016 at the age of 75. She was born on May 14, 1941 to Charles and Evelyn (Bain) Taylor in Portland, Oregon.
On September 2, 1960 Barbara married Horris Gene Robinson, they were married for 8 years until his death in the Vietnam War. After Horris’s death Barbara moved to the Scappoose area where she became active in the Moose Lodge.
Some of her favorite activities were playing bingo and working in her garden and of course caring for her dog Shadow. She was a homemaker and enjoyed picking berries to make jam and canning beans.
Barbara never remarried or had children but she raised her nieces Christina, Sherry and Lori like they were her own.
A private cremation was held, a portion of her remains will be placed next to her family at Columbia Memorial Gardens in Scappoose and a portion will be placed with her husband at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
