Bernard C. Japs' Obituary
Bernard (Bernie) Japs, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, electrician, veteran, hunter and adventurer, left this world after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Bernie was born in Nebraska on September 23, 1924, and died in St. Helens, Oregon on June 10, 2014.
Bernie was a lifelong resident of St. Helens with his wife of 70 years, Aleta Jo and children, Judy, Julie and Jim and families, as well as those who had the great honor and privilege of knowing him mourn his loss.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the St. Helens United Methodist Church. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Red Cross or the Alzheimer’s Association are welcomed.
