Bernard Anthony Weber March 29, 1929 ~ November 9, 2017
Bernard Anthony Weber was born March 29, 1929 in Valley City, North Dakota to Anthony and Lorena Weber. He passed away in his home in Scappoose, Oregon on November 9, 2017 at the age of 88.
He was raised on the family farm in Oriska, North Dakota and graduated from high school in Valley City. On November 30, 1948 he married Mae Angeline Emery.
In 1951 they moved to the Portland area where he was employed in the automotive business as a parts man. In 1963 he went to work for Phillips Ford in St. Helens and moved the family to the Yankton area in 1965. Later he worked at Columbia Ford in Longview and was employed there until he retired in 1988. In 2000 after the death of his first wife, he found love again with Doris Floeter. They were married 17 wonderful years.
Shortly before his death Bernie commented that his life was wonderful and could not have been any better. He lived the life he wanted. He had many hobbies throughout the years including motorcycle riding, skin diving, fishing, hunting, woodworking and trap shooting. He had an avid love of learning especially about geographical locations, new technologies and the mysteries and wonders of nature.
He loved traveling and socializing with his many friends. He was a member of both the Elks and the Moose and enjoyed many good times with the Hay Riders and his poker buddies.
He is survived by his current wife Doris and his five children: daughter Dianna Multanen and son-in-law Cliff, son Thomas Weber and his wife Nancy, daughter Sandra Parnell and son-in-law Steve Jenkins, son Michael Weber and daughter-in-law Barbara and daughter Mary Lehto and son-in-law Tom, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He will also be missed by Doris’s children: daughter Cheryln Newcomer and son-in-law Mike, daughter Susan Remsen and son Walter Floeter and daughter-in-law Sue.
Bernie was preceded in death by his brother Wesley, Mae his wife of 52 years, son-in-law Russ Parnell, daughter-in-law Danielle Weber and grandsons Kenneth, Robert and Bradley Parnell.
