I was sad to hear of Bert's passing. I remember Bert as a teacher, a coach and a friend. What made Bert special to me was he knew when to be tough and when to go easy. I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Burr's passing. I have fond and fun memories of being his neighbor. In particular getting to attend the father/daughter banquet at the Elks with him when I was 5. Uncle Bert was an incredible man. Nobody could tell a joke like him. It always amazed me how many jokes he knew. They were more like really funny stories. As I read the obituary for Mr. Burr, I was truly impressed by the outstanding and full life he lived. Never-the-less, losing such precious loved ones causes us much pain. How thankful we are that our grand Creator, plans to restore his original purpose and make it possible for all mankind including loved ones we have lost in death to live forever under perfect conditions. I will remember Bert fondly as a long time family friend and for the trip we took together to the Safari Club International Convention in Reno and two trips to Larsen Bay, Alaska. Bert couldn't believe how many silver salmon we caught in an hour and a half in Larsen Bay.
