Betty Ann Olson's Obituary
Betty Ann Olson was born on August 12, 1918 in Portland, Oregon to Lawrence & Selma Lathti Thompson.
She died at a Portland hospital on July 9, 2012 at the age of 93.
Betty was educated in Portland at James John Grade School and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1936.
She met Delmar Olson at the Cooperidge Wooden Barrel cCmpany and in 1939 they married in Portland. They lived in the St. John's area at the time until moving to St. Helens in 1946 until present. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1997. Also in that year a granddaughter Mary passed away.
Betty worked picking strawberries in the Asberry area of St. Helens, she was a clerk at Lloyd Wagners Store and was a binder at Bemis Printing and also a homemaker.
She was a member of the Scappoose Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, feeding the neighborhood animals, being at home and with family.
Survivors include: 3 children: Nancy Backlund Richard; Linda Thompson Wally all of St. Helens; Jack Olson Donna of Deer Island; Sister: Dorothy Perkins of Salem; 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Private Family Interment: Bayview Cemetery-Warren, OR.
