Betty Lou Castro

Betty Castro, of Columbia City, died October 18, 2015, shortly after the death of her husband for 62 years, Louie Castro.
Betty was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on January 7, 1934, to Gertrude and Willis Lewis. Betty worked for many years for the Scappoose School District and retired as a Librarian Aide.
Betty is survived by: her two daughters, Cindy Castro and Lorinda Castro, son-in-law Robert Rispler and brother, Donald Lewis. Betty also has five grandchildren, Bobby, Danny and Kelly Jo Rispler, Corey Pung and Matthew Castro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie and her daughter, Jackie Castro Rispler as well as a sister, Jean Horn and brothers, William, Hershel, Ray, Corky and Melvin.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at the St. Helens Senior Center.
