Betty J. Germer of Columbia City was born in Trenholm, OR. on October 5, 1924 to Earl & Alma Dodson Dowler.
She died at a care center in Longview, WA. on December 14, 2003 at the age of 79.
She was educated in St. Helens and graduated in 1941. She lived in the area all of her life.
She married John in 1950 in Spokane, WA.
She worked for the Port of St. Helens, Bennett & Vaught Attorneys, St. Helens Federal Credit Union, Boise Cascade and her last job was the first female appraiser for Columbia Co., she retired in 1986.
Her interests included: the Columbia City Community Club and Bridge Club, the out-of-doors, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include: Husband: John Germer of Columbia City; Son: Thomas Germer of Tualatin, OR.; Daughter: Janet Gage of Athol, Idaho; Brother: Jim Dowler of San Jose, CA.; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
