Betty Rose Pardee's Obituary
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Betty Rose Pardee was born on April 13, 1933 to Ted and Leona Means in Portland, Oregon and passed on September 3, 2019 in Columbia Care Center in Scappoose. She was raised in Burlington, where she attended Holbrook Grade School. After graduating from Scappoose High School in 1951, she would meet and marry George LeMont and have 4 children. Betty worked for many years as a cook for McBride Elementary School and then went on to work for Steinfeld’s in Scappoose. In 1988 Betty married Darrell Pardee and developed an interest for traveling. While her first love was her family and her faith, she was well known for her talents in baking, sewing, crocheting, and knitting projects for her friends and family.
She is survived by her brother Roger (LaVelle) Means of Scappoose, children Val (Rich) Wick of Arizona, Lance (Tami) LeMont of Columbia City, Joanne (Steve) Pellham of St. Helens and George (Jamie) LeMont of Deer Island, twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Leona Means, her sisters Maxine Galloway and Patricia Bowdoin, and her husband Darrell Pardee.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday September 10th at 11:00am at Columbia Memorial Gardens followed by a reception at the Moore residence, 34281 Millard Rd. in Warren.
