Betty Lou Rose's Obituary
Betty Lou Rose of Scappoose, Oregon, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2021 at the age of 84.
Betty was born December 10, 1936 in Portland, Oregon to Roy and Bernice (Bunny) Garver. As a long time resident of Scappoose, Betty has stories of working in the cabbage and potato fields once a part of Scappoose. In terms of employment however, she is best known for her many years at Rose Valley Market. Already rich with friends and family who loved her she gained many many more friends as a part of her occupation at the market. There was not a child that didn’t love her as she was grandma Betty to all.
June 4, 1954 Betty married Morris Jobin. They remained married until his death April 18, 1967. She remarried on November 22, 1968 to Mike Rose. They were married until his death April 16, 2000.
Betty had many interests, cooking, sewing, gardening, crafts, just to mention a few. Though she enjoyed her hobbies it was visits from family and friends that gave her the most pleasure.
Though she will be terribly missed, Betty had a strong faith in the Lord and her family and friends are comforted by the knowledge she is now with Jesus.
Betty is survived by her son Roy (Joyce) Jobin, daughter Cindy (Bill) Degman; six grandchildren and spouses; four great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Beisley, Linda (Duane) Fritz, Sherman/Pinky (Marsha) Garrer; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held in Betty’s honor. Please sign our online guestbook at www.columbiafh.com
