Obituary of Beverly Zielaskowski
Celebration of Life service will be held, 2PM, Saturday, July 7th at Columbia Funeral Home. Beverly passed away on June 28th in St. Helens, she was 87 years old.
Beverly Jean Zielaskowski was born May 2, 1925 in Seattle, Washington the only child of Gerald DeWitt and Olive Eva Alice Roullard Kloak. Raised and schooled there she later moved to St. Helens when she was 18 years old. Beverly married Raymond Frank Zielaskowski while he was on leave, June 21, 1943. The couple first met when he was 16 and she was 8 years old. Many years later Ray asked her for her hand in marriage at the St. Helens skating rink. Beverly was active as a Christian in her church community and was a member of the St. Helens Assembly of God Church as the organist/pianist, Sunday school teacher and was active in the jail ministry visiting and playing her accordion. More recently a member of the Columbia River Foursquare Church. Beverly believed in the power of a hug. She was talented at crafts, crochet, quilting, and sewing.
Beverly is survived by her three children and spouses; Donna Sheldon Joe of Whidbey Island, Washington, Jack Zielaskowski Erma of St. Helens and James Zielaskowski Sue of Warren, grandchildren; Jodi Elliott- Jones, Bret Sheldon, Lance Zielaskowski, Owen Zielaskowski and Troy Zielaskowski, great grandchildren; Olivia, Bradley, and Noah Zielaskowski, Chloe, Pacey, Connor and Wyatt Littleton.
Private burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
