Bobby Ray Pickard's Obituary
Graveside and Committal Services will be held for Mr. Bobby Ray Pickard, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 10th at Columbia Memorial Gardens. Mr. Pickard passed away at his home in St. Helens, Friday, March 5th. He was 70 years old.
Bobby Ray Pickard was born January 17, 1940 at Maysville, Missouri to LeRoy Cleveland and Evelyn Lucille Chaney Pickard. He spent his childhood in St. Joseph, MO with his brother William. He later worked for Cooke Sales & Service as a mechanic for over 20 years in Chillicothe, MO. He married his wife Beverly, September 7, 1978 in St. Joseph, MO. They moved to Oregon a year later to Rainier. Beverly preceded him in death in 1993. While in Oregon he worked for a construction company in Rainier as a bulldozer operator and for the last 14 years as a security Supervisor with Armstrong Security in St. Helens. He retired in 1997.
Bobby enjoyed life, lake and river fishing, and trips to Reno with his wife. Both he and Beverly won Pool tournaments from 1987 to 1991, earning the Goble American Division 1st place during those years.
Bobby is survived by his children, Annette Mahlberg of Lacey, Washington, Bobby Williams of Independence, MO, Charley Pickard of Cameron, MO, Lynn Lightfoot of Carrollton, MO and David Pickard of St. Joseph, MO, and 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, brother William B. Pickard of Clarksville, TN, 2nd wife Marie Pickard of Carrollton, MO. Preceded in death by son Jerry Lee Pickard in 1987.
