Brandon Scott Coddington's Obituary
It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden untimely passing of Brandon Scott Coddington. Brandon was born in St. Helens, Oregon on March 22, 1977. He was raised in both Oregon and Alaska. While in Alaska, he graduated Homer High School in 1995. He worked as cook for a few years before starting heavy equipment operator school. However, he ultimately decided that he was going to become a plumber. He started the internship program in Alaska in 2003, and he was incredibly proud to become a journeyman plumber in 2012.
In 1996, Brandon met Jacqueline, and they became each other’s world. They went on to start their family and moved to Oregon in 2000. On October 21st, 2006, Brandon and Jacqueline were married in a beautiful ceremony, that officially made Jacqueline a Coddington. It was about time, we had already claimed her well before that. It was a truly special day, and anyone present could see the joy and love they felt for each other.
Brandon was about living life to the fullest. He loved traveling and over the last few years, he was able to indulge in that passion. He and Jacqueline went on several cruises and many trips to Vegas. Camping was always something he loved, and he made time for several camping trips with family and friends every summer.
Recently, Brandon had decided that he wanted to make some changes in his life. He was proud to be clean, and he kept his program books close by him always. He had started to go to meetings on a regular basis and was trying to help those around him on their road to sobriety as well.
All those who loved Brandon will forever remember his laugh, his smile, and his antics. He was always pranking, teasing, wrestling with and borderline torturing those around him. Especially his nieces and nephews. He had a way with kids and they were drawn to him everywhere he went. He was a ornery, and there is not a person that knew him that didn’t know that, but he was also full of love, and the protector of those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Coddington, his stepmother, Crystal Coddington, and his brother, Donald Coddington. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Coddington, two children, Quinlynn and McKenna Coddington, and nephew Trevor, whom he loved like a son; Mother, Ruby Cissney; Sisters, Angela Hughes, Mandy Coddington, and Kimberly Cissney; Brothers; Timothy Cissney and Daniel Coddington. He was part of a large, loving family with Uncles, Aunts, and many cousins, he was especially close with his cousin, Alan Coddington.
