Brian Dale Ebert, 54, of Deer Island, Oregon passed away on January 1, 2016.
He was born January 5, 1961, in St. Helens, Oregon, to Lloyd and Margie (Brooks) Ebert.
Brian attended St. Frederic’s Catholic School through sixth grade, then attended St. Helens Junior and Senior High Schools where he graduated with the Class of 1981.
After graduation he enlisted in the US Army and served for seven years from 1981-1989. He was stationed in Germany, Honduras and the United States.
Brian received military honors of Marksman, M-16 Rifle, Expert in hand grenades, two Good Conduct Medals, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and three Army Achievement Medals. He was honorably discharged with the rank of SPC/E4.
After his service in the military Brian worked as a welder and for Rightline Equipment. He lived in Deer Island all of his life. Brian enjoyed fishing, hunting, electronics, photography and family gatherings.
He is survived by: his parents, Lloyd and Margie Ebert; his sisters, Julie Moore, Leslie Higdon (Dave), Joyce Beckman (David), Laura Davis (John); his brothers,Earl, Eugene (Heather) and Allen (Brandi) Ebert and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Frederic’s Church, 175 S. 13th St., in St. Helens, Oregon, with Father Luan Tran officiating. A Rosary will precede the service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
