Bruce D. Senter's Obituary
Bruce D. Senter was born on June 18, 1920 in Livingston, Montana to Bert & Reitha Hawley Senter.
He died in a St. Helens care center on June 23, 2006 at the age of 86.
He moved to Scappoose at a young age and attended schools in Scappoose, graduating in 1938. He was quite an athlete in his youth.
He lived most of his adult life in the Portland area, moving back to St. Helens 20 years ago.
He was in the Army during WWII, he married Elsie in Anchorage, Alaska after the war. She preceded him in death in 1961.
He was a post master for a time in Anchorage, worked for Pinkerton Security, an elevator operator, both in Portland. He retired from Portland Community College in maintenance.
He was a Christian and his interests included playing the piano as well as other instruments. He played for the grand opening at the Lloyd Center.
He was known as "Mr. Ambassador" at Meadow Park and "Music Man Bruce".
Survivors include: Sisters: Rhuey Ann Rissett of Scappoose; ParoLee Hilderbrand of Portland; Preceded in death by Siblings: Gene Senter & Vevel Buchanan.
Graveside service & Interment: Fariview Cemetery-Scappoose, OR. on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 11:00 AM.
