Burke Anthony Mitchell's Obituary
Burke Anthony Mitchell of Deer Island, Oregon passed away January 26, 2023 at the age of 59. He was born May 10, 1963 in Los Angeles, California to Dougheny Mitchell and Dixie Dixon. He grew up and attended school in California before relocating to Oregon in his late 20s. Not long after at the age of 32 he met Cynthia Varner, they spent 26 happy years together. Burke and Cynthia moved back to Columbia County in 2018, he loved living out in the country, he and Cynthia had their own shack in paradise as he said. He owned and operated Burke Mitchell Fence and Deck for many years before going to work at Scappoose Sand and Gravel where he worked for the last 5 years.
Burke is survived by is wife Cynthia Varner; two daughters Patricia (Bradly) Jeseritz and Jamie (Zackery) Brittain, 7 grandchildren; Kendra, Ryleigh and Cole Jeseritz and Bridgett, Sandra, Aiden and Ronin Brittain, he is also survived by his cousin Kim Jorda Welch.
