Carl Robert Skarberg's Obituary
Carl Robert "Bob" Skarberg, a long time resident of the Warren-St. Helens community died on September 1, 2005 at Spring Meadows Assisted Living, he was 70.
He was born June 12, 1935 in St. Helens to Carl and Nita Pierce Skarberg. He graduated in 1953 from Scappoose High School.
Bob married JoAnn on August 3, 1956, and they just celebrated their 49th Anniversary.
He worked for Boise Cascade for 37 years. He worked as a maintanence supervisor. He retired in 1991.
Bob was a very active member of the Warren Baptist Church all his life.
His interests include sports of all kinds, traveling, flowers, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife, JoAnn, of Warren; his daughter Lori Ligatich of Aloha, Oregon; his son Jim, of St. Helens and 4 beautiful grandchildren who he adored; Meghan Grant of Ashland, Jordyn Grant of Aloha, Jon Grant of Aloha, Sam Skarsberg of St. Helens. He is also survived by two brothers; Gene of St. Helens, Dean of Columbia City.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Skarberg, in 1960 and his mother, Nita Skarberg in March of this year.
A celebration of his life will be Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 3:00 at Warren Baptist Church.
Memorial Contribution can be made to Parkinson Association to help find a cure for this disease.
