Carolyn Beryl Phillips' Obituary
Celebration of Life Gathering will be held, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home. Committal service & interment at Bayview Cemetery, Warren, Oregon.
Carolyn died at her home in St. Helens on June 15, 2011 at the age of 70.
Carolyn Beryl Phillips was born on July 8, 1940 in St. Helens, Oregon to James K. & Beryl I. Messinger Burkhead. Carolyn was a graduate of St. Helens High School and Western Oregon University. She moved to Vancouver, Washington at the age of 22. She met Neil Phillips in St. Helens and they were married on June 22, 1963, they later divorced. She raised her kids and moved back to St. Helens in 1981. Early on she attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the PEO and the Women's Club. She was the Owner/operator of Daylight Donut Shop, retiring in 1994.
Carolyn is survived by her children; John Phillips Yvonne & Janel Gundersen Mark all of St. Helens; Brothers: Kenny & Dean Burkhead both of Portland; four grandchildren; Korie Phillips, Katrina Gundersen, Kyle Gundersen and Emma Phillips, and a great-granddaughter; Isobel Clair.
