It sure has been a long time since I have connected with the family. I was just in Milwaukie last week visiting my family (Debbie Olander/Mary Lou Marcum, aka Nauman) when my sister told me about Carolyn passing. When we were growing up I spent a lot of time at their home. Both in Milwaukie and in Colton visiting Julie. I can remember one time being at their home and Carolyn was cooking something and when she went to drain it over the sink, steam came out and she told us to always be extra careful because steam can really burn. Would you believe all these years later, every time I drain something hot I think of her telling us that.
