Catherine E. Smith was born on April 1, 1924 in Tacoma, WA. to George & Sadie PlamondonSweet.
She died at a Portland hospital on October 3, 2006 at the age of 82.
She was educated In Tacoma, WA. and Portland graduating from Lincoln Hi in 1942. She and Lloyd B. Smith were married on 6/29/46 in Tacoma, WA.
She started working at Steinfelds Pickle Factory in 1964 and retired as a production technician. She lived in the St. Helens area for 58 years.
She was an active member of St. Frederic Catholic Church, active in the St. Helens and Scappoose Senior Centers and the Women of the Moose Lodge.
Enjoyments included: Flowers-roses and crysamsymins, going to movies, camping, traveling, garage sales, her daily walks and the family social events.
Survivors include: Children: Theresa Smith of St. Helens; Virginia Ganthner of Reno, NV.; Karen Warwick of Kalama, WA.; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and special friend Marcy Brown.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, 10/6/06 at 12:00 Noon at St. Frederic Catholic Church-St. Helens.
Committal service & vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Helens Senior Center.
