Charlotte Jane Lee's Obituary
Charlotte was born on October 28, 1925 in Arcadia, Wisconsin, to Harry and Myrtle Benson Heller. She grew up in a large family of seven sisters and five brothers.
She met Howard E. Lee while working in the shipyard. They were married while Howard was on leave from the Navy on March 27, 1945 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Because of the war, their honeymoon was a night out on the town. Their first car was a Plymouth Coup. They were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Over the years the couple and their four children lived in many places including California, Japan, Las Vegas, Nevada, Texas and finally Oregon.
Charlotte enjoyed travel, especially to family reunions in Wisconsin. She liked camping with grandchildren and fishing with Howard where she found quiet time to read.
Charlotte is survived by her Husband, Howard; Sons, Earnest Lee of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and David of Las Vegas, Nevada; Daughters, Diane Kachaturian of Deer Island, Oregon, and Bonnie Wade of West Lynn, Oregon; Sister, Joyce Wolfe of Raytown, Missouri; grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at Columbia Memorial Gardens on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
