Cheron Dove Jenkins' Obituary
Our beloved mother, Cheron Jenkins, went to be with Jesus on December 7, 2021 at the age of91 in Vancouver, WA. Her life was long and rich with loving care for her family and friends.
Cheron was born on May 9, 1930 in Rigby, Idaho, and spent her early years among lots of family, including her own 3 siblings. After her father died when she was only five, the family moved to the Bay Area. During her lifetime she also lived in Salt Lake City, UT, Billings, MT, La
Habra, CA, Beaverton, OR, Hemet, CA , and Vancouver, WA.
She married Tom Jenkins in 1952. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage and had 3 daughters:Becky, Stephanie, and Cassie, and later enjoyed their 5 beloved grandchildren as well as 7 great grandchildren. Though she stayed at home with her kids while they were young, she later worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses.
Cheron had lots of creative energy and was always learning new things. She became accomplished at sewing, knitting, quilting, tole painting, China painting, and wood carving. In addition, she was an avid flower gardener and sang in various choirs for the joy of it.
There will be a private graveside ceremony for Cheron at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Warren, OR. Any donations in her honor can be directed to her church: E.
