Christopher A. Nickelson's Obituary
Christopher A. Nickelson was born on June 11, 1922 in Cold Water, Kansas to Chris & Hazel Clovis Nickelson.
He died at a St. Helens nursing home on August 26, 2007 at the age of 85.
He moved to Columbia County in 1937, graduated from Scappoose Hi School in 1940.
Married Laura Farley in St. Helens on August 12, 1945.
He was in the service during WWII.
Lived in Aneot, CA. from 1956-1988 where he worked in the paper mill. He retired in 1989. Thye moved back to St. Helens at that time until present.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include: Wife: Laura of St. Helens; Children: Carol Ewald of Los Angeles, CA.; Linda Marquardt of Kelso, WA.; Siblings: Ralph Nickelson of St. Helens; Agatha Cobb of Cincinnati, Ohio; 4 grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Thursday at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens
Graveside service & vault interment: Friday, August 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, OR.
