Christopher Earl Heller's Obituary
Christopher Earl Heller
March 5, 1985 ~ July 28, 2015
hristopher Earl Heller was born in Portland on March 5, 1985 to loving parents Randy Allen Heller and Helen June Amick, Jr. He grew up in Columbia County with his five siblings Nicole Heller, Jennifer Van Dolah, Tasha Van Dolah, Larry Van Dolah, & June Van Dolah. At the young age of 30, Chris passed away on July 28th, 2015 at Peace Health Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington from injuries received the week before.
He leaves a legacy of four beautiful children: Gavin Christopher Heller, Peyton Rey Heller, Paige Collette Heller, & Addalyn Sophia Marie Heller. His children were the most important thing in his life and he fought tirelessly for them. Chris overcame being a single father to have full custody of 2 of his children. Unless Chris was working he was never without at least one of his kids.
Since he was old enough to walk, Chris has never stopped moving. There was always something to be done and he wanted to do it. If there was an impossible project, Chris was always there to figure it out. ‘How did you get that moved?’ or ‘How did you get that working?’ were common questions for him. He didn’t always have the right tool for the job, but that never stopped him and he would always find a way. Not one day went by that he did not amaze someone around him.
Chris loved working in the woods as a logger. For many years he worked with his dad in the woods before breaking off to start his own business. Having his own business allowed him to help more people throughout the county. When asked for help Chris could always be counted on no matter the time or what you needed help with.
Chris’s service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Columbia Funeral Home located at 681 Columbia Blvd in St. Helens. Private burial to follow for immediate family.
