Clyde Merwin Jones' Obituary
Clyde M. Jones passed away on July 25, 2010 at his home in Scappoose, he was 80.
Clyde was born in Minot, North Dakota on December 22, 1929; he was the 4th child of Ora and Hazel Brown Jones. He grew up and attended school in North Dakota.
He joined the Army on January 13, 1947 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. After an Honorable discharge he moved with his family to Oregon.
Clyde did concrete works and house moving in Columbia County with his dad and brother for many years. He also did logging.
Growing a garden was a love of his but, most of all he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ora and Hazel, sisters; Evelyn and Gladys, Brother Clifford, and his stepson Sam Buys.
Clyde is survived by his wife Harriet, stepchildren; Lenilce & Kevin, sisters; Grace, Clara, and Arlene. 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren who clearly love grandpa and many nieces and nephews.
Clyde will be dearly missed by all.
There will be a private family service.
