Clytie May Conklin's Obituary
Clytie May Conklin was born on August 23, 1911 in Scallard, Alberta, Canada to Francis & Eithel May Gould Morey.
She died at an assisted living center in St. Helens on March 18, 2007 at the age of 95.
She was raised there and went to Thompson grade school and Big Valley High School.
After the depression, in 1930 she and her family moved to McMinnville, OR. and was there a short while before moving to Dixie Mountain. It was there that she met Hary Conklin whom she married in 1937. They were married for 58 years. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She belonged to Calvary Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. She trained to be a nursing assistant at the V.A. Hospital in Portland, she worked in several nursing homes as well as providing personal in home nursing care.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening and playing her piano.
Survivors include: Sons: Darrel & Clifford Conklin both of Hillsboro; daughter: Carla Beisley of St. Helens; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Park Community Church-St. Helens.
Private interment: Skyline Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Portland, OR.
