Colleen Kay Bair
May 14, 1934 – February 17, 2015
Colleen Kay Bair of Scappoose, Oregon died February 17, 2015 at the age of 80. She was born May 14, 1934 to Cloyce and Kathryn (Gillette) Shook in Gridley, Kansas. Colleen attended school in Oakridge, Tennessee and graduated from Oakridge High School with the class of 1952. On October 24, 1953 she married Darrell Bair in Plainville, Kansas. Colleen and Darrell lived in Wyoming, Kansas, and Colorado before settling in Oregon in June of 1968, Darrell later died in 1985. Colleen met her longtime companion Herb Teubner in 1988 they enjoyed each other’s company for 27 years.
When Colleen was younger she was a Rainbow Girl, as she got older she became a homemaker and loved to take care of other people. She was a very active member of Warren Community Fellowship and she also enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning.
Colleen is survived by her companion Herb Teubner, sons; Mike Bair and his younger brother Patrick Bair, her brother Dennis Shook, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Warren Community Fellowship.
