Colleen Goss' Obituary
Colleen L. Goss, 96; of St. Helens, Oregon, passed away on April 16, 2025. The youngest child of Harry Orton Lowe and Maude Lucille Birt, she was born on July 7th, 1928 in St. Helens. Colleen proudly called Columbia County home for her entire life.
After graduating from high school alongside lifelong friends, Colleen married her first husband, Paul (Wamp) Brasmer. They were blessed with 3 daughters.
Throughout her life, she remained active in her community, thoughout her work- civic involvement and personal connections.
Colleen had a deep passion for travel, always with friends and family. Her joy in exploring wherever she traveled. She loved attending jazz festivals, Elder hostels (now road scholars) and spending time in nature- particularly National Parks. MT. St. Helens held a special place in her heart.
As the last surviving member of 'The greatest generation' in our family, Colleen leaves behind her daughters, Paulette Owsley (Bob), Beverly Friberg, and Mary Jo Simpson (Gordon); along with her legacy of 4 generations filled with may memories.
In honoring her wishes, no formal service will be held.
Her ashes will be joined with those of her late husband, Walter E. Goss, where together they will be spread at her beloved MT. St. Helens at a future date.
