Born on May 23, 1948, Connie Barr was raised in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania by parents Harold A. Barr (deceased) and Maxine M. Barr. Connie passed away in Warren, Oregon on March 13, 2013 due to causes related to cancer.
She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1970, and went on to do graphic design, writing, and marketing communications management, primarily for high technology companies.
Among her personal interests were gardening, painting, reading, cooking, and animal rescue.
Connie is survived by her husband Ron Parsons, mother Maxine Barr, brother Steven Barr, sister Lorraine Barr, nephew Daniel Barr, and niece Laurie Stone.
Connie asked that any memorial contributions be made to either the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.aspca.org/donate) or to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.underamour.com/WWP).
