Cynthia Marie Dugdale's Obituary
Cynthia Marie Dugdale June 18,1965 - April 20, 2017
Cynthia Marie "Okruch" Dugdale, resident of St. Helens, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning on April 20, 2017. She was 51.
Cindy was born on June 18, 1965 in Kane, Pennsylvania, to Thomas and Lauren Lundin Okruch of Ludlow, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Kane Area High in 1983. She moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona before coming to Oregon in 1996.
Cindy was a wife and mother who transformed her family's house into a home. She will be greatly missed.
Everyone who knew her, knew she loved Jesus. She demonstrated her faith through her kind and giving spirit. She gave her energy and support freely, acting as a listening ear and open arms for her neighbors, her friends, her family, and those hurting in the community. She devoted her time to leading her women's study group at Sonrise Church in Hillsboro, Oregon, and was passionate about serving in her hometown, volunteering regularly at Community Meals to provide meals to those in need. Most of all she was a rock for those especially close to her, lifting them up with her unwavering faith and unending love.
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.'" John 11:25-26a
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Carlyna and Andrew Okruch and Mae and Ernhart Lundin.
She is survived by her husband, Todd Dugdale, her two daughters, Crystal Farnsworth and Amanda Dugdale, and her step-son, Joel Dugdale. She leaves behind her parents, Thomas and Lauren (Lundin) Okruch, her brother, Thomas Okruch, her sister, Tammi Okruch, two nieces, one nephew, one great-niece and great-nephew, several cousins, and her special aunt and uncle Jack and Marion McClinotock.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Sonrise Church in Hillsboro, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cindy's memory in care of Sonrise Church to benefit an African keyhole garden ministry or Cuban pastors' bicycle fund.
