Danny Ray Perry's Obituary
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held, 1:00 PM, Sunday, January 24th at the Columbia Tribute Center, 681 Columbia Blvd, St. Helens, Oregon.
Mr. Perry died January 16th, 2010 in St. Helens. He was 60.
Born in Pond, California to Earl Kenneth & "Billie" Perry he was the youngest of 4 children. Raised in the area he graduated from St. Helens High School in 1966. He then volunteered to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After getting an honorable discharge he then became a long haul truck driver. He also worked for FMC in Portland as a box car wielder and a security guard for the Port of Portland before becoming disabled.
He enjoyed fishing and was a very social person and well known in the area. He loved his grandchildren and was actively involved with his grandson Trent with his motocross racing.
He is survived by his daughters; Mischka and her husband, Gene Preheim of St. Helens, OR and Sandy and her husband, Perry, Perdue of Federal Heights, CO grandchildren; Brittainey Carson and Trent Preheim and great-granddaughter, Dixie Carson, Sisters; Trudy Amstutz of Warren, OR and Pat Schueler of Puyallup, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Dorthy Louise Churchill Perry, his parents, and sister, Earllene Phelps.
Private burial will be held at Yankton Hillcrest Cemetery, St. Helens, Oregon
