Met Darwin through Gerald and Jean Smith and worked on his vehicles from 96’-02’. He loved to give me a bad time about what I charged and called me Easy Money”. His smile was contagious and he wasn’t afraid to tell me about Jesus. He life was a testimony to his belief. In 2000 I gave my life to Jesus and he is one of the reasons. Wish I could be there as we are 400 miles away now. I know he is walking with his savior now. Our condolences to Joanne and his family for though we know he is in His presence we still grieve his loss. God bless, The Jordan’s

He was a quiet encourager, always welcoming to the church or his home. He was a hard worker. I remember mom saying she could always count on him to help get things done around the church.

I picked up some so-called fresh, organic blueberries at Fred Meyer the other day, and I immediately thought of Darwin. Every summer, his servant's heart showed through. Toward me...it was in a gallon-sized bag of blueberries he picked from his own yard. They were always rinsed and ready for the freezer.
I doubt I'll eat summer's sweet blue treat ever again without remembering the little thrill that seeing him holding the bag of fruit always gave me.
Love you, Darwin. See you again in Heaven one day soon. Shari Hughson
