Daryl Lorene Wheeler
Daryl Lorene was born May 13, 1941 at home in Rainier, Oregon to Villard and Josephine Cochran Beckham. She died on August 9, 2010 while doing one her favorite things travelling through Oregon.
Daryl graduated from Rainier High School. She married Tom Tice on May 24, 1961. They had a good life together. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Daryl was a hard worker and ahead of her time when it came to numbers. Her career was in the banking industry. She managed many banks throughout the Northwest Region. She finally retired in 1995 as the Regional Vice-President of Operations at First Interstate Bank after 42 years of loyal service. She was an active member of the Elks Lodge and Chamber of Commerce.
After retirement; Daryl became a snowbird and spent many wet Oregon winters in her home in the sunshine of Yuma, Arizona. She loved working in her flower garden, shopping and travelling. She was an avid reader, and a giver to many charitable organizations. She was THE PROUDEST grandma.
After Tom died; Daryl continued her friendship with Don and Bobbie Wheeler whom she and Tom had known for many years. After Bobbie died, Daryl and Don stayed friends; fell in love; and were married on April 2, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Daryl is survived by her husband, Donald Wheeler of Portland
