Datie Mary Von Allmen's Obituary
Datie Mary Von Allmen (Moses)
Born June 23, 1930 – Passed June 12, 2014
Datie was born in Exeter, California but spent her childhood in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Later she moved to Oregon where she spent the rest of her life. She and her husband, Fritz operated a small family dairy and mobile park for 25 years in the Warren area.
Datie found time to join her friends for 30 years of bowling in both league play and fun filled tournament trips. There were also many camping trips to various places but her favorite were the trips to the coast to watch the waves and glorious sunsets. Datie was also well known for her beautifully decorated cakes, sewing projects including some amazing quilts and for her love of turquoise jewelry.
She was so welcoming to whomever came by for a visit and was there and willing to listen and support anyone in need. She touched so many lives with her grace, dignity and compassion. Even though these past years she suffered with her own illness she was still there caring for her family and friends. We will forever be thankful for her gift that taught us how to show random acts of kindness and paying it forward whenever possible.
Datie is survived by her husband (Fritz), married 59 years, sons Greg (Charlene) and Randy (Violet), grandchildren Kellie (Tony), Scotty (Heba), Geoff (April) and Elise, great grandchildren: Abigail, Henry, Holly, Michael Angelina and Jeremy. Family was everything to her. That and her love of Jesus.
Rest in Peace. We know you are still looking over us. Just from another address high in heaven.
Graveside services will be held by family only.
