David Lynn Akers' Obituary
David "Dave" Lynn Akers was born in a bedroom at home on January 7, 1954 in Vernonia, Oregon to Wayne & Maxine Stephenson Akers.
He died in his home in St. Helens on March 4, 2007 at the age of 53.
He attended schools in Vernonia thru the 6th grade and moved to Warren in 1964, where he attended Warren Grade School and Scappoose Hi School.
He married Dormilee Petite on April 24, 1973 in St. Helens. In 1974 they made thier home in St. Helens.
He worked for Fat boy Pizza for 12 years and Oregon Meat Co. as a meat cutter for the past 4 years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter. he enjoyed gardening and coin collecting.
Survivors include: Wife Dormilee Akers of St. Helens; Children: Shannon Townsend of Rainier; Nick Akers of St. Helens; Siblings: Larry Akers of Warren; Norman Akers of St. Helens; Sharon Johnson of Cathlamet, WA.; Rose Birch of St. Helens; Irene Bowery preceded him indeath in Dec. of '04; 5 grandchildren.
