I didn't have the privilege to know David on a personal level for very long, but the time I got to spend with him I'll cherish forever, my name is Haylee Warner, daughter of Sarah K Warner-Overstreet. During the time I got to know him he was always on the move, always helping someone or fixing something, the drive David had to live was highly admirable. He was always happy to help whenever I needed food, cat food, a ride somewhere, etc. I'm extremely distraught and saddened by his very sudden passing.. I still can't believe I'll never see him again..

However I really hope Angie and their kids are doing as well as they can...

I only met David once and that was at my uncle tons service in sturgis. David was driving the garbage.truck at that time. He and I were sharing a table at my moms. David was telling me of some of his best finds there. You could tell he loved his job and it was rewarding to him. May you rest in peace David and tell all our family members we love and miss them too. Just like we will miss you.

To my brother, I'll miss you bro, you kept it real and always reminded me that it's ok to slow down and breathe. We went thru hell and still came out smiling. Thanks for the memories and the friendship. Most of all thanks for the brother I needed, you'll be missed. To your family your forever in my heart and prayers. Love ya brother. Was one of the best men I ever knew he had ur back from the day u met him n he'd make sure you know it this world is now a lot worse off that he's gone I looked forward to his weird messages every day my love n condolences go out to the Marsh family

I will always remember how we met.

It was about maybe 8pm and I was brand new to driving a 5 speed along Highway 30 and of course the light right by Burgerville turned the ever not so fond color red. I came to a stop at the light and when it turned green my car wouldn't move. It would just sit there and rev when I pushed on the gas. I was scared of being stuck from not knowing how to drive it in the first place. Everyone knows how busy the highway can be and how impatient people around here are. But all of a sudden I heard someone yelling at me asking if I needed help, I was shaking and didn't know what I had done to my car to make it not go anymore. That was when I met David. Normally I don't like strangers around me but in that situation I needed the help. David and a police officer helped push my car into the parking lot of Cardinal Services. He had no issues getting under the hood and start checking the car out for me. I couldn't believe my luck at getting stuck and luckily David being a mechanic helped diagnose what happened. After that we exchanged numbers and he let us borrow the tools we needed for the car so we could get it back on the road. He never asked for much in return. Everytime we seen him after that he was always busy and happy. He will forever be missed by my family and I.
